RVF emergence was found to be triggered by the import of infectious animals, whilst transmissibility was approximated as a linear or exponential function of vegetation density. We developed the first mathematical model for RVF that accounts for climate, animal imports and livestock susceptibility, which is fitted to a 12-years dataset. Here, we estimate the most likely scenario that led to RVF emergence on the island of Mayotte, following the 2006-2007 African epidemic. The conditions leading to RVF epidemics are still unclear, and the relative role of climatic and anthropogenic factors may vary between ecosystems. Cinq nouveaux cheptels traditionnels, comprenant essentiellement des animaux de race zébu, ont été recensés en janvier 2012 et intégrés au suivi (Figure 6). Il s'est poursuivi sans interruption jusqu'à aujourd'hui dans les 15 élevages suivis par la CoopADEM alors qu'il a été mis à l'arrêt en janvier 2011 dans les élevages suivis par la CAPAM, pour des raisons financières.

The data were collected in the NGO “Fermier Sans Frontière” farm from 2012 to 2016 on 135 animals. In order to judge the opportunity of using Saanen males to improve the productivity of Red Maradi goat, a study was conducted to evaluate growth performance of crossbreed kids (F1 and F2). The content of desirable fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acids and monounsaturated in milk increased with 20PEG treatment [+20%, respectively (46.56% vs38.75%, P10% DM), we should try to dilute CT with changing fodder regime. The results show that the 20PEG dose increases milk production by +31.5% (95.76 vs72.81 and 70.21 kg/120 day of lactation/goat for respectively 20 and 0 and 40PEG). Ten goats in each group receive 75 g/head/day of CT from carob pulp. Three doses of PEG (0, 20 and 40 g/day/goat) were administered respectively to three groups (0PEG, 20PEG and 40PEG) of lactating goats. This effect can be negated by the addition of polyethylene glycol (PEG). Diets containing high levels of condensed tannins (CT) can alter the production and quality of goat milk.
